Yoga
Yoga is referred to as a complete science of life, originating in India thousands of years ago. It is the oldest system of personal development in the world encompassing body, mind and spirit. Yoga literally means “joining”. The purpose of all different aspects of yoga is to reunite the individual self with the absolute or the pure and divine consciousness liberating the spirit and freeing it from the illusion of time, space and causation.

The oldest archaeological evidence of the existence of yoga was found on a number of stone seals connected to the Sumerian civilization excavated from the Indus valley dating around 3000BC. The earliest mention of Yoga was found in the Scriptures known as The Vedas dating around 2500BC. The Upanishads which form the later part of the Vedas provide the main foundation of yoga teaching.
